Let's Get Crafty

Kid Friendly Asheville is going to start something new and FUN for you and your family!

We are going to be posting an easy craft that you can do with your family! Exciting huh?!?! I am going to TRY and make it a craft that you should already have the supplies for in the house.

Our first craft is going to be Cooked Playdough. I asked Mrs F if I could use her recipe. She gave our 3 year old a tin and it was some awesome stuff!

Cooked Playdough

2 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
3 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups water (mixed with food coloring)

Cook in pan over medium heat until it feels like mashed potatoes. Let cool before kneading.

*Mrs F makes hers without the food coloring and then kneads it into the cooled dough. That way one batch could yield three colors.*

PS. It's edible BTW. I wouldn't try it though, it didn't taste very good. I was just checking!!!

Look at the JOY it brought to our house:
