THE HEALTH ADVENTURE HONORS SERVICE TO AMERICA AND CELEBRATES THE WONDERS OF PHYSICS
The Health Adventure will show appreciation to members of the Armed Services by offering free admission to military families on Wednesday, November 11. The museum will also host a Wonder of Physics show at 11:00 that morning, presented by the University of Wisconsin.
United States veterans, active duty military personnel, guard and reservists, and their immediate families will receive free admission as part of a special promotion presented by 99.9 Kiss Country. The station’s morning show hosts, Eddie Foxx and Sharon Green, will be on hand at the museum to greet guests.
“We are grateful to the servicemen and women of our country,” said Paige Dickens, President and CEO. “Our hope is that those military families in our area can come to the museum to enjoy a day of fun and learning together.”
Also on November 11, The Health Adventure will host the Wonders of Physics show. Created and presented by the University of Wisconsin Department of Physics, the program helps people better understand the physics in the world around them by presenting it in a fun, engaging way. Demonstrations cover the six main areas of classical physics—Motion, Heat, Sound, Electricity, Magnetism, and Light—and encourage audience participation. Wonders of Physics is made possible by
grants from the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences
of the United States Department of Energy and the
National Science Foundation. The show begins at 11:00 a.m. and is free with museum admission.
