Young Adventurer’s Camps
Design It!

Ages: Rising 1st – 2nd graders
Future architects, builders and all who are inquisitive come and join us for our DESIGN IT! summer camp where we will design and build with blocks, foam, sand and rocks. Can your design stand up to an earthquake? Gale force winds? Floods? Find out! We’ll design, build, and then test the designs in the real world using real world forces. This camp is all about free exploration, creativity and science as inquiry!
Smart Art
Cost: $135 for members & $150 for non-members
Dates: June 18 – 22 and June 25 -29

Ages: Rising 1st – 2nd graders
Mix it up as we combine science and art to create SMART ART! Through this inquisitive exploration of science and art, we’ll learn how our eyes see colors and then try out color chromotography, rainbow bubbles and magical shrinking art! Come learn the secrets and take home your own SMART ART!

Calling all female scientists! Learn what it’s like to be a scientist in the real world! Build a robot, run water quality tests in a local stream and visit an animal hospital to explore the wonders of veterinary science all while discovering the wonderful worlds of microbiology, genetics and more! Each day will combine lab experiments at The Health Adventure along with field trips to visit female scientists at work in our community.

Slime! Goo! Bouncing Blubber! Plunge into the oozy realm of sticky, mushy, gooey science! Make your own substance that can bounce, stretch and even change from a solid to a liquid in the blink of an eye. Join us for some giggle-inducing fun!
Design Challenge

Dates: July 16 – 20
Times: 8:30 – 12:30 (3rd – 5th Grade)
1:00 -5:00 (4th – 6th Grade)
With DESIGN CHALLENGE, you’ll design a vehicle that can travel across a room, follow directions and perform a task such as popping a balloon. Create a strategy to hit targets using balls, ramps and more! Construct a catapult, build a square-wheeled vehicle and make a boat to transport your cargo. Can your egg survive an obstacle course? Find out when you use your engineering skills to make it happen!
Pick Your Brain!
Cost: $135 for members & $150 for non-members
Dates: July 23 – 27
Times: 8:30 – 12:30 (4th – 6th Grade)
1:00 -5:00 (3rd – 5th Grade)
Use your noodle, get your gray matter in gear, and notify your noggin. Decode messages, test your reaction time, and tackle tongue twisters. From optical illusions to radical riddles, this camp will tickle your amazing brain.
Surfin’ Safari
Cost: $135 for members & $150 for non-members
Dates: July 23 – 27
Times: 8:30 – 12:30 (3rd – 5th Grade)

Make some waves! In fact, we’ll make an entire ocean ecosystem! Would you trade places with a puffer fish in the marine food chain? Where did the names “surgeonfish” and “deep sea anglerfish” originate? Why are the oceans so salty? Dive in and find out….this camp will be deep!

Family Robotics Workshop
Cost: $33 for members & $37 for non-members
Dates: July 31
Times: 10:00 – 3:00
Ages: Rising 4th – adult
In this one-day family workshop, families will discover the exciting world of robotics…together! Work together to build and operate a robot. Design, test and redesign your robot to accomplish tasks and meet new challenges! Your robot will carry objects, navigate obstacle courses and maneuver up steep ramps. Build, play and explore….families and robots, together!

In order to ensure your child’s placement in any camp, full payment is due at time of registration. Camps are filled in the order in which we receive registrations. No guarantees, implied or otherwise, are made as to placement until full payment is made. Confirmations are sent once placement is confirmed. A wait-list for each camp is kept and used in the case of openings and spots are filled in the order in which registrations were received.
Cancellations: If you cancel more than 30 days before the camp session begins, you will receive a 75% refund. If you cancel between 14 and 30 days before the camp session begins, you will receive a 50% refund. If you cancel fewer than 14 days before the camp session begins, there will be no refund.
